我亲爱的Ryde Ward的兄弟姐妹以及朋友们，你们好。 我料到你们当中很多人都已经要么从小道消息要么通过观察发现我和后期圣徒教会的紧密联系在过去的一年发生了某些变化。 我现在不再参加所有的圣餐聚会，并且已经有些时日没有去参加主日学或者圣职的课程了。我已经请求不再领受召唤并且和教会保持一定的距离。 虽然我知道你们当中很多人已经知道此事，并且当我早已将此事在私下谈话中直接地告诉了你们当中的几个人（至少有4个人被告知），但是我想写下这段博客向所有人阐明我的立场，并且如果可能的话，回答人们可能对我所持有的、却不便和我直接讨论的问题。 事情的开头 几年来，随着我受到更多教育，我遇到了一些小事导致我的信仰稍有停滞。当我学到更多的关于科学，历史，心理学和哲学方面的知识以后，我偶尔会遇到一些小事令我对摩尔门信仰产生疑惑。 然而很久以来都没并没有什么真正意义上的大事发生，一切还算平顺。也许你们当中有些人还记得我在2014年年末的时候在圣餐会上所做的以“怀疑”为主题的演讲。在那个时候，我还是相当坚信摩尔门教的。但在那时，我已看到我的思想正在经历一些变化的征兆。 最终，大概在2015年的2月，当我在自省的时候，我亲身体验到了一些事。当时我正在沿着离我家很近的街道上行走，忽然意识到一些不容易被察觉的问题：原来我对那些可能与我的摩尔门信仰相抵触的、或者可能让我重新审视我的摩尔门信仰的事物怀有深深的、根深蒂固的恐惧而不愿意去了解它们。 我害怕那些会导致我重新审视我的信仰的知识、信息和真相。 我和我自己讲道理：”如果教会真的如同它所宣称的一样真实并且至高无上，那么即便是网络上充斥了反对摩尔门教义的谎言，作为阅读者的我也应该能够洞悉它们，发现它们的虚假。 的确，正如一位著名的摩尔门教会领袖， J.
